Malia joined the firm as a staff accountant in 2001. Her professional experience includes individual and business tax services, court accounting and preparation of all levels of financial statements.

After earning her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Davis, she spent two years abroad pursuing graduate education.  Malia was then awarded an academic scholarship for her second year of Graduate studies wherein she enrolled in the PhD program at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Malia joined our firm shortly after returning to the United States and has since become a CPA and has completed her Master of Science Degree in Taxation from California State University, Sacramento.

An avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, Malia and her family, enjoy hiking, backpacking, and international travel.

First Job

Like many young girls, my first career aspiration was a Veterinarian. At 15 years old, I convinced my parents to allow me to get a work permit and I started working in the kennel.
